This is a Forest Exploration Event. It can occur multiple times per play through and offers the chance to get Ancient Knowledge Ancient Knowledge, Raw Meat Raw Meat and Strange Mushrooms Strange Mushrooms, as well as an opportunity for a survivor to gain a significant boost to their Wisdom skill - albeit at the risk of incurring Disease icon Paranoia.

You lie in wait for any animal attracted by the mushroom fragrance. After a while, a bunch of fat, red squirrels come and start to stuff themselves with mushrooms!

A shadow is looming in the forest. Places are flashing in front of your eyes, people. Angry Vikings, blue skinned beings... You pull yourself together. That was a strange experience. You feel strange but good. You thank the gods for the vision.
